We don’t use one text for this course, rather we use the literature readings and the papers required of the student in Medieval History & Geography. These include the Ballad of the White Horse, Murder in the Cathedral, Beowulf, Richard III, The Life of Thomas More, Isabella of Spain, Columbus and Cortez. The texts are read, considered, discussed and written about. There are a number of important issues considered, including the qualities of a leader, and the role of government. The level of the literature reading is high, and prepares one well for college.
