We use Warriner’s English Grammar & Composition, 3rd Course (© 1977, 1982, 1986) which reviews basic grammar as well as vocabulary and spelling. The text also covers the various skills used in writing good essays, summaries, and papers. The Grammar & Comp Syllabus has a day-by-day breakdown of this course along with spelling and vocabulary tests, and a variety of teaching resources including Ninth Grade Subject Rubrics, Learning Objectives, and grading charts. The syllabus is correlated with the Faith & Morality Syllabus for the papers. This is a 1 year, 1 credit course.
